Steve Jobs is an i-Hole

Seems the black turtlenecked One has his ass hairs in a twist for Adobe and has gone about disparaging their software, specifically Flash, as unworthy of Apple’s i-Pod, i-Phone, i-this or that….Ironically, it can be said that Adobe (and the former Macromedia) played a large hand in keeping Apple around before the Savior deigned to return to the reigns. Macs were/are largely known as graphics machines and considering some of the premier software programs used in such endeavors are from Adobe, one has to wonder what really is Jobs’ bitch with them all about?

Maybe he was just blowing off some steam after some Apple jerkoff managed to lose the new i-Phone prototype in a bar, only to see some enterprising dude sell it on craigslist to the editor of a popular tech gadget site who promptly shared it with all the World. Now that didn’t sit well with Mr. Narcissist himself and he promptly dispatched the Apple police to the home of the man who found it and demanded to search the home. Who knew Apple had its own team of i-Agents? The ABI….When the man’s roommate, much to his credit, told them to fuck off, real law enforcement then descended with a warrant on the home of the Gizmodo editor, busted in the door, and confiscated a variety of items…The Government muscle working for the Self-Centered Corporation. How nice.

But I’m guessing i-Hole Jobs isn’t really ticked that much at Adobe, but rather needed to create a diversion from the type of heavy handed ‘Brand’ damage that the above episode with the i-Phone and the Gizmodo guy could inflict if more widely known. It now seems like Gawker Media’s Gizmodo won’t go quietly into the good night.

Once again, Steve Jobs has shown that he is the biggest i-Hole in the World.

Goldman Still Suchs

Recently, when the Rumpelstiltskin (asleep for 20 years) SEC leveled charges of fraud at the Vampire Squid, i.e. Goldman Sachs, for lying to its ‘clients’ and ripping off the American Taxpayer, I had a brief moment of satisfaction. Then, after the ridiculous dog and pony show on Capitol Hill where ignorant Senators all pretended to be outraged, outraged I tell you, at the activities of the Large Campaign Donor, I had a brief moment of dissatisfaction. I mean, so what would actually happen to Goldman? They would pay a fine, dump it all on the Fab Frog and go on with business as usual.

In the last couple of days, however, there have been rumblings of an actual DOJ investigation, that is criminal in nature and also a murmur that the TARP watchdog Barofsky is looking possibly to fit Tiny Timmy Geithner for an orange jumpsuit for his cover-up of the Goldman/AIG heist of our dollars. Now to see somebody actually prosecuted and sent to jail for the biggest swindle in our history would almost restore my faith in the law. Up until now it has been like that old saying, “Steal a little and they put you in jail, steal alot and they make you a King.”

Here’s a great piece in Rolling Stone by the awesome Matt Taibbi who has been on the Goldman Suchers long before anybody was even paying attention….

Confirming what any thinking person already knew, the SEC finally got around to charging the greedy bastards at Goldman Suchs with fraud. A glimmer of hope for the rule of law. Better late than never.

Here’s the story from Bloomberg….

Whistleblower Beware, Two Face is on the Loose

From Glenn Greenwald:

Under the Obama DOJ’s two-tiered justice system (and it’s an Obama political appointee, Lanny Breuer, trumpeting the indictment), engaging in serious wrongdoing entitles you to immunity (Look Forward, Not Backward), whereas exposing it to the public merits a lengthy prison term. I haven’t been feeling motivated enough to post lately, until this morning when I read this unbelievably disgusting article about the treatment of our injured troops. What the Fuck? I urge you to read the piece in the Nation and the terrific reporting of Joshua Kors. Warning, it may make your blood boil!

Happy St. Patty’s Day America

From the always straightforward Paul Craig Roberts:

“Bernanke’s warning to Congress is his way of adding Federal Reserve pressure to that of Wall Street and former Treasury Secretary Paulson for Congress to balance the budget by gutting Social Security and Medicare. In case you haven’t noticed, no one in Washington or New York talks about cutting trillion dollar wars or trillion dollar handouts to rich bankers. They only talk about taking things away from little people. It is not the Bush/Cheney, Obama, neocon wars that are in the cross hairs; it is Social Security and Medicare.”
